Centre Regional Development Agency (Centre RDA) as contracting authority carried out on 6 August the session on the opening of the bids within the repeated public tender for design services in the field of energy efficiency for the Theoretic Lyceum ‘Mihai Eminescu’ from Ungheni municipality (Lot CE 1), Theoretic Lyceum ‘Ion Vatamanu’ from Straseni town (Lot CE 2), Theoretic Lyceum ‘Alexei Mateevici’ from Soldanesti town (Lot CE 3) and Theoretic Lyceum ‘Holercani’ from Holercani village (Lot CE 4).

Six bids were submitted as a result of invitation to tender announced by Centre RDA. The working group composed of Centre RDA, GIZ, LPA and civil society representatives opened the bids in the presence of representatives of tenderers. As a result of the mentioned public tender, design services in the amount of around MDL 4 million shall be contracted. The funds are provided by the European Union via the ‘Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova’ implemented by the German Development Cooperation through GIZ.

The public tender for design services in the field of increasing energy efficiency in the four localities of Centre Region takes place repeatedly. In the repeated procedure as in the first one, the evaluation commission composed of representatives of contracting authority and experts in the field shall analyse the six opened bids and identify the contractor to be awarded the contract for the design services.

The contract awarding procedure will follow strictly the rules provided in the Regulation (GIZ PRAG) developed based on the provisions of the EU Practical Guide PRAG1 (version as of January 2016) for services and works contracts. Observance of these rules ensures an objective, transparent and non-discriminatory choice of contractors with competitive bids at best value for money following, at the same time, the efficiency of using public funds.
