15 employees of the Academy of Public Administration (APA) benefitted from a series of training sessions on communication capacities development. On 25-26 April, the training course on ‘Conflict and Stress Management’ was carried out and on 2 and 4 May 2018 – the training course on ‘Rhetorical art: Developing presentation and communication abilities’. The trainings were organised by the Center for Organizational Training and Consultancy (CICO), supported by the ‘Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova’ (MLPS) project implemented by the German Development Cooperation through GIZ.

The trainings aimed to improve and strengthen participants’ knowledge in the covered areas and in particular regarding the following:
•    Harmful effects of stress and mechanisms to avoid and counter stress;
•    Symptoms of professional burn out and methods and techniques to eliminate this syndrome;
•    Developing productive communication with others;
•    Link between stress and generating conflicts. Influence of emotional state on performance. Link between emotions, thoughts and behaviour;
•    Constructive communication strategies;
•    Dialogue and negotiation in conflict situations;
•    Methods and instruments to describe and present a speech;
•    Management of non-verbal communication during speech presentation.

Participants got actively involved in trainings’ activities, showing interest in areas covered. They mentioned they will apply the information and acquired knowledge in the working process, which will definitely further and increase their future results.
