Following the activities already undertaken with regard to documenting and informing on available assistance for local public administration authorities, Government Deputy Secretary-General Mr Sergiu Ceauș convened a working session with representatives of the project ‘Modernization of Local Public Services in Moldova’, managed by German Development Cooperation through GIZ.

The national advisors participating at the session, Mr Alexandru Muravshi and Mrs Natalia Iachimov, have duly informed the State Chancellery’s team on the activities implemented and the support provided to LPAs.

The project’s aim is to help improve local services in Moldovan villages and towns through investments and innovative technologies; through working on strengthening the local service providers’ management; through building better inter-municipal cooperation and through regional and local planning interventions.

As proposed by Mr Sergiu Ceauș and Mr Iurie Chiorescu, State Senior Adviser to the Prime-Minister for LPA sector, a number of initiatives regarding effective coordination of assistance available to local authorities will be analysed and subsequently promoted.
