52 specialists in water supply and sanitation participated in the International Exhibition ‘EXPOAPA 2015 ‘, that was held in Bucharest from 14 to 19 June 2015. Support for the visit was provided by the German Development Cooperation through GIZ, in partnership with ‘Moldova Apa-Canal’.

The Moldovan delegation also visited three companies from the field in Romania: Trading Company ‘ApaNova’ (Bucharest), Trading Company ‘Wilo Romania’ (Chiajna) and Trading Company ‘Raja Constanta’ (Constance). The experts got familiar with the new technologies of reconstructed and modernized objects with the support of international donors.

Gheorghe Ghetivu, Director of Municipal Enterprise ‘Apa-Canal’ Cahul said: ‘the exchange of experience that we had with partners in Romania regarding the use of new technologies, project writing and fundraising to improve WSS services was very productive, and in the future we intend to develop our cooperation in this area’.

In turn, Tudor Panici, Director of State Inter-rayon Enterprise ‘Acva Nord’ Balti – Soroca, said: ‘the gained knowledge and experience will help us in developing managerial skills and application of new visions pertaining to the management of the public service of water supply and sanitation’.

International Specialized Exhibition ‘EXPOAPA’ is organized annually by the Romanian Water Association (ARA). The exhibition is attended by local and international companies producing and distributing materials, aggregates, pumps, meters, special vehicles, modern technologies from water supply and sanitation sector. The events are oriented towards professionals in the water sector, starting with resource managers, operators, and the public interested in technical performance and management of the sector.
