On 24-25 April the training for trainers as part of the Module II course ‘New solutions and technologies in energy efficiency in public buildings projects’ is taking place. The event is organised by the Technical University of Moldova (TUM), Centre for Continuous Training in Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings (CFC EECP) with the support of ‘Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova’ (MLPS) project, implemented by the German Development Cooperation through GIZ.

The event aims to develop basic capacities in designing, installing, implementing and evaluating energy efficiency in public buildings projects through access to state of the art theories, concepts, solutions and technologies necessary to develop energy efficient projects. Trained trainers will be able to moderate courses under the training module.

The main objectives of the course were classified into three basic categories: knowledge and understanding, implementation and integration. At the end of the course, the participants will become acquainted with:

  • Terminology and key concepts in energy efficiency;
  • Legal and regulatory framework in energy efficiency in public buildings;
  • Implementing measures of streamlining energy consumption in buildings;
  • Economic, social and ecological importance in developing energy efficient systems;
  • Materials, technologies and efficient engineering solutions for the development of energy efficient projects;
  • Solutions of ensuring energy efficiency sustainability;
  • Applications of calculation in determining basic indicators of energy audit, thermal coefficients, thermal convection coefficients, heat conductibility coefficients and
  • Assessment of projects developed from architectural point of view, planning decisions of projects and solutions for equipment and engineering systems.

The course will be piloted on 21-24 May 2018 and will target designers, energy auditors and assessors, specialists of the Energy Efficiency Fund, site engineers and experts in project verification.
