During 17 – 30 January 2018, 4 training sessions in Quality Management were organised for the Academy of Public Administration staff members.

The topics were focused on:
• ‘Process approach of the quality management system’ (17 January)
• ‘Setting strategic and operational objectives in the quality field’ (25 January)
• ‘Risk management of the quality management system’ (30 January)
• ‘Internal audit of the quality management system’ (31 January)

These training sessions aimed at developing the capacities of the Academy staff for an efficient functioning of the quality management system of the institution and was intended for the staff responsible for management and for the one responsible for quality management processes in the institution.

The organised sessions deepened the participants’ knowledge on process approach in quality management system, techniques of setting objectives, risk management in ensuring certification process, principles and methods of carrying out an audit in quality management system. The participants had the possibility to develop practical skills in identifying and describing the essential parts of the organisational processes, process inputs and outputs, monitoring activities and their documenting.  

The training sessions were organised under the ‘Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova’ implemented by the German Development Cooperation through GIZ and facilitated by Ala Oberst, expert in quality management systems. 

We note that this course is the first training activity for the Academy of Public Administration staff this year. Further, during the year, training activities will be organised based on the institutional  development operational plan of the Academy and of the Professional Development Department  with different topics, identified considering the staff training needs assessment, such as:
• ‘Conflict and stress management’
• ‘Time management’
• ‘Document management’
• ‘Use of information technologies’
• ‘Development of communication and presentation skills’ and others.
