On 27 July 2018, a workshop was organised on results-based monitoring in implementing the National Strategy on Regional Development and Regional development Strategies (RDSs) for 2016-2020. Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment (MAARDE), 4 Regional Development Agencies (RDA) and the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova (NSB) took part in the workshop. The event was organised with the support of the ‘Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova’ project implemented by the German Development Cooperation through GIZ in partnership with MARDE.
Dorin Andros, State Secretary, MARDE: ‘I am pleased we have advanced in the results-based monitoring process. We need single and common approaches on a country level for the monitoring and evaluation of indicators for regional development sector and the Guide we work on will facilitate this process making it more efficient’.
Alexandr Muravschi, National Leading Advisor in the field of policy coordination on regional development: ‘The new reporting model is oriented towards results monitoring. This is why we want to use this workshop in an efficient and useful manner, especially when we will start working on evaluation of NSRD and RDSs for 2016-2020’.
As part of the event, the Guide on results-based monitoring for the implementation of NSRD and RDSs for 2016-2020 was presented and discussed. Also, the main regional development indicators and indicator sheets for the main objective and three specific objectives of NSRD for 2016-2020 were presented and discussed.
