Members of the Local Steering Committee (LSC) of the 'Increasing Energy Efficiency in Lyceum 'Dimitrie Cantemir' from Balti municipality' project met on Friday, 26 October 2018 in a third session organised at the Theoretical Lyceum 'Dimitrie Cantemir'. At the meeting the project monitoring report was presented for July-September period of this year and the activities from the implementation plan for October-December.

We note that, recently, the development of the technical documentation has begun under the project to increase energy efficiency of the Theoretical Lyceum  'Dimitrie Cantemir' from Balti municipality.

As a result of project implementation, the annual energy standardised consumption in the educational institution in Balti will be reduced by 547 MWh and the C2 emissions by 125 tons.  The estimated value of the energy efficiency project of Lyceum 'Dimitrie Cantemir' from Balti is EUR 1.236 million.

We point out, that the established LSC under this project serves as a platform to ensure a better cooperation between the main stakeholders in implementation of project, in particular and of regional development policy, in general.

The project 'Increasing energy efficiency in Theoretical Lyceum 'Dimitrie Cantemir' from Balti municipality' is financed by the European Union in cooperation with the project 'Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova' (MLPS) implemented by the German Development Cooperation through GIZ in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment and financially supported by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Swedish Government, the Romanian Government, and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
